Install WordPress in Managed Mode

For Linux Hosting and Managed Dedicated Server packages.

Follow the steps below to install a WordPress application in Managed Mode.

A Managed Mode installation allows you to easily set up your application in a just a few steps and continues to stay up-to-date with security patches and upgrades managed by 1&1. To learn more about the difference between Managed Mode installations and Standard Mode installations, please read the Explanation of Click & Build Applications.

Please note:
We will automatically update WordPress applications only. Any third party enhancements will not be updated through 1&1.

Additionally, it is not possible to install plugins because these require the rights to change the system data which may cause issues during scheduled updates.
Step 1
Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.

Click the 1&1 App Center link from the Website/Applications section of the Control panel. 1&1 App Center

Select the WordPress application and click Install Application.Recommendations page

Create a name for your website and click the Create website button. Creating website page

Enter a username and password for the administrator to access the application (A) (B). and Check the box next to the Terms and Conditions link (C). When you're finished click the Continue button to set up the application. Creating website page

Step 7
You will be redirected to the 1&1 App Center after clicking the Install button in the previous step. Click the Admin area link to begin working on your project Admin page
