POP3 Connection Details for Exchange Accounts

The article below provides details for setting up your Exchange account with POP3 protocol.

Please note:
Configuring your Exchange account as a POP3 account will ONLY provide e-mail functionality. Using POP3, you will not be able to access the additional features of Exchange such as the calendar, tasks, Public Folders, etc.

1&1 suggests that you set up your Exchange account using IMAP protocol. For more information, review the Difference Between POP3 and IMAP E-mail Accounts.

To set up your Exchange account as an IMAP account, please review the IMAP Connection Details for Exchange Accounts.

To configure a POP3 Server for your Exchange e-mail you will need the following information:

  • Server Type: POP3
  • Incoming Server:
  • Incoming Server Port: 110
  • Incoming Server Port (using SSL): 995

  • Outgoing Server:
  • Outgoing Server Port: 25 or 587
  • Outgoing Server Port (using SSL): 25 or 587
  • Account name/User name: Can be found in your Control Panel under MS Exchange Account (e.g. e111111111)
  • Password: Your Exchange account's password
