Find Your Domain's Authorization Code

If you want to transfer a domain to a different registrar, you will need the domain's authorization code. Use the steps below to find the domain authorization codes through the 1&1 Control Panel.

Authorization Codes can only be obtained for .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .name, .ca, .us, .mx, and .com.mx domains registered with 1&1.

Step 1
Log in to the 1&1 Control Panel using your Customer ID OR domain name and your password.

If you have only one package, you will land on the Administration page. If you have more than one package, select the package in question to reach its Administration page.

Step 2
Click the Domain Center link from the Domains panel.

Check the box next to the domain and click the Info button. The check box is to the left of the domain

The Auth code is displayed on the last line of the page. The authorization code is below the Lock status

Please note:
Only .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .name and .us have auth codes.

If you have more than 50 domains and wish to obtain the authorization codes, please send an e-mail to transfer@1and1.com. Include in your e-mail your customer ID.
