Disable/Enable Domain Auto-Renewal

Follow the steps below to select which domains you would like to keep and which you would like to expire naturally at the end of their registration term.

The ability to toggle whether a domain should automatically renew is only available for domains registered to 1&1 that are invoiced. Domains included in the price of your package will always automatically renew at no extra cost, and can not have the auto-renewal function disabled, but must be canceled instead.

The auto-renew feature is enabled or turned on by default to ensure that your domain does not unintentionally expire, which can leave your website inaccessible and hurt the reputation of your business. You can toggle this behavior using the steps below.

Step 1
Log in to the 1&1 Control Panel using your Customer ID OR domain name and your password.

If you have only one package, you will land on the Administration page. If you have more than one package, select the package in question to reach its Administration page.

Step 2
Click the Manage domains link from the Domains panel.
Step 3
Check the box next to a domain that shows On or Off in the Auto Renewal column of the domain overview and click the Auto Renewal button.
Please note:
Domains that have a dash (-) in the Auto Renewal column are either included domains that are not billed or subdomains that do not have the ability to toggle the auto-renewal feature.
Select the appropriate domain and click Auto Renewal
